🐉 TH17 Meta: Top 3 Attack Strategies for February 2026
Following the January 28 balance patch, the LavaLoon Puppet buff has completely revitalized air attacks. Here is what’s winning in Legend League today:
1. The “LavaLoon Clone” Hydra
- The Strategy: Use the buffed LavaLoon Puppet on the Royal Champion. Because the housing space was reduced to 21, Clone Spells now spawn two LavaLoons per cast.
- The Execution: Deploy Dragons and Dragon Riders as a core tank. When the Battle Blimp reaches the core, use the Eternal Tome followed by a Double Clone to create an unstoppable swarm of 9+ LavaLoons.
2. Warden Charge Rocket Balloons
- The Strategy: A high-skill attack utilizing the Fireball Epic Equipment.
- The Execution: Use the Warden Charge to snip a cluster of key defenses (Multi-Archer Towers or Inferno Artillery). Finish the base with surgical Rocket Balloons and the Spirit Walk Root Riders for ground cleanup.
3. Super Witch Smash (RNG Protected)
- The Strategy: Thanks to the recent Spring Trap Immunity for Big Boys, Super Witches are back.
- The Execution: Use a standard Smash entry. The “Big Boys” now have 20 housing space, allowing them to tank single-target Infernos and Monoliths without being instantly popped by traps.

🏘️ CWL Defense: Countering the “Air Swarm”
With CWL ending soon, many attackers are using the “Double Clone” Dragon strategy. To defend your 3-stars today:
- Invisibility Towers: Set your towers to Invisibility and place them near the Town Hall 17. This forces the cloned Balloons to retarget, often leading to a 1-star fail.
- Air Sweepers: Do not point them both in the same direction. Face them toward the most likely “Hydra” entry points to break the Warden’s Eternal Tome timing.
